Medieval manors

The two manors at West Hall, Sedgeford, Norfolk, in the mid 14th century. Looking NNW, we see the rich priory manor, with manor, farm and garden courts, and its church. To the left, the smaller local manor, with its ponds, garden and farmyard. The River acts as a moat for both. Painted for the Sedgeford Historical and Archaeological Research Project
