Large Iron Age house
This lofty hall is the seat of a manorial lord. The lady of the house overseas servants – slaves maybe. The house has rooms round the outer edge: bedrooms, larder, cooking area and walk-in cupboards. In the centre of the hall is the hearth, around which are arranged finely-carved tables and benches. Produced for Nottinghamshire County Council
