I gained a degree in Archaeology from the University of Bristol in 2000. Over several years I have acquired a fair amount of experience as a supervisor on a large research dig for several seasons and as a professional digger. I have also worked for the Portable Antiquities Scheme as an artefact specialist.

Since graduating, I have primarily specialised in the analysis, interpretation and reconstruction of archaeological sites, features and objects. I have clients across Britain, including numerous county councils, museums, societies and English Heritage.

I cover all archaeological periods, and have a wide-ranging in-depth knowledge of British archaeology.
In particular, I have researched:
• Ancient ships and boats
• The development of built structures, from Bronze Age to post-medieval
• Facial reconstruction
• The development of clothing, from Neolithic to post-medieval
• Weapons and armour
• Ancient landscapes and settlement patterns
• Traditional crafts
• Anatomy

I have recently done my first reconstructions of Mesozoic animals, informed by my long interest in palaeontology.
Aside from my reconstruction work, I am an experienced technical illustrator, and have drawn a large number of artefacts for publication.
