Hafted palstave
A reconstruction of the method of hafting a Bronze Age looped palstave; a slot was cut in the wood to receive the butt end of the palstave; this was then tightly bound with rawhide. Cords were passed through the loop and around the haft to hold the head in place. Produced for the Portable Antiquities Scheme
